Reporter Shot on Live TV in Virginia

Jeez , just logged into Twitter and read that shet and some of the other stupid shet , now I know why I haven't logged on since about the first 5 days after I created my account. There's a ton of hate out there , I'll just keep my hand on my pistol and hope it doesn't come my way. If it does I'll just see how well I shoot.....

They talk about better ways to recognize mentally unstable people with a lot of hate in their minds, just log into twitter, read Youtube comments ect. There's probably about 20 million unstable brains out there, good luck. Twitter is just a safe way for trolls and loosers to spew garbage without consequence. The vast majority don't have the courage to say half the stuff they say face to face with someone.

Bad news is the anchor's father was interviewed last night by megyn kelly and said he would make it his personal mission to have gun control laws passed. Sadly this was after the fiancé stated he did a lot of stories on mental health issues, which clearly is the problem here that needs help

So all this is before anyone knows where he got the handgun, if he bought it and passed a background check, if anyone reported his past behavior to police and so on. I can see her dad being all upset and devastated but Hillary and the left will exploit this with hopes of getting a lot of media attention, which they will since it was media people who were murdered. I wouldn't be surprised if some anti-gun group is exploiting her dads emotions right now, egging him on for their own agenda. The left is a bunch of slim balls that will do that.

With respect to the internet, it may be a safety valve of sorts.  Crazies have a place to spout off without having to resort to actually doing anything.  And if some look to be getting out of hand, maybe a quick call to LEO for a personal interview can be arranged.

The same people that want to have more in-depth background checks and are whining about people with mental problems getting guns are the same people that think threats are protected speech and don’t want anyone to have access to their health records.

Most of these nutcase shooters could pass a background check. What in the world do they think could have been done to stop this guy? What are these “sensible laws that keep crazy people from getting guns”?

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/official-va-tv-murders-gun-purchased-legally/ar-BBm9XIv?ocid=spartandhp

The gunman who murdered two Virginia journalists and wounded another person on live television legally purchased two handguns last month, including the one used in the attack, and was able to pass a required background check despite his apparent emotional problems, a federal law enforcement official said Thursday.

Who knew the guy had problems? Did anything go to court? Was he getting psychiatric care? If so was he prescribed meds? Who should have known about that? What government agency do they want to have all that info?

Did he make threats known to anyone? Was his friends and family aware of his problems? What did they do? Was Law Enforcement ever notified?

Guy passed a background check, so obviously the solution to stop this is....background checks!!!! These people say they want discussions about how to stop this stuff, but all their solutions are already what's not worked. Let me put it simply, these people are morons and are only thinking with feelings ("we've got to DO SOMETHING"), not with any kind of logic.

I heard a really interesting one from the group of people I was arguing with the other day.  One of these ladies said "I'm scared sending my children to school every day for fear they'll be shot." Someone else followed up with "well they have security officers and police in schools, and if there isn't one then you should ask for one."  Her reply was "I don't want to live in a totalitarian police state where my children see guns and police in their schools."  Everyone had a collective "what?" moment.

Americans have bought into a lie that we can live free and totally safe. Freedom isn't safe, but living under a totalitarian isn't either. There is no way to actually live totally safe. There is always something out there that is unsafe (other people, weather, poor engineering, sickness, etc.) Our problem is that people want no risk and total freedom. Ain't gonna happen.

That which once was is no more. Some folks just didn't get the memo.

Ask an anti to count to 1 million, then after they finish that tell them to do that 350 more times, then remind them that that's how many guns are in circulation in the Unites States and no amount of gun control laws will put a fraction of a percent of a micro dent in the gun violence in the Unites States because it's a logistic impossibility to keep a bad person from obtaining a gun. They get them in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Canada and even France when they really want one. Also as is the case in New York with their failing Safe Act, many, including myself will simply refuse to obey some useless federal gun ban or registration, i've personally had enough of their socialist crap. Keep pushing it and I will do what I have to to save some money and go out and buy me a decent AR and 5 or 10 30-round magazines and 2000 rounds of ammo just to spite them.

The video, although sad and disturbing, is no more graphic than a PG13 movie. A few muzzle flashes seen on a shaky video followed by a victim running before the camera image goes away. You do not see anyone dead, blood or any other type of gore.

I say this to encourage people to watch the video that haven't. This is a very, very rare look at an attack especially from the shooter's perspective.

What is truly disturbing is the fact that the typical group of race baiters are silent on this one. I bet we will see the murderer get exalted by those race baiters as they encourage others to do the same.

Yeah, it's nothing like what you see in movies and TV with blood popping out the front and what not.

Ouch. Truth of the day, right there.

It is SO typical for the liberal drive-by media to approach this whole situation with "sorry for the families but we need MOAR BACKGROUNDZ CHEX!!!!??"

This is an OBVIOUS racial issue. OBVIOUS hate crime. He has his whole narcissistic holier-than-thou African Warrior manifesto, made a video and proclaimed it on Facebook and capped them on live TV - I am sure Stevie Wonder could see how this is obviously a hate crime.

Why is it not a racial issue? What happened to that #AllLivesMatter crap? Really wish someone would call it what it is, without speaking in platitudes about mental illness - save the Feds implanting some sort of biometric monitor and assigning shrinks to everyone there is no way to know - especially if he never went to a psych, ever been on meds or ever talked to someone. He was just a seething, hateful, racist that was using that to become a martyr and justify something he knew was wrong. If he REALLY believed in his cause he would not have ate his gun, he would've went and gunned down more "whiteys"

What a load of garbage everyone in this country is becoming - I lived in NYC my whole life before going .mil, it is more than easy to get a gun and some ammo from runners from PA or DE and go and bust someones brain case open, dump it in the Hudson River and jump on a train.

The only thing gun control does is get people killed.

There is no real fix or preemptive fix to this situation - interviewers and interviewees and camera crews are going to be focused at the task at hand, it is not like we are going to attach QRFs and counter-sniper scout squads to every live broadcast.

In this Land of Gay Puppies, Rainbow Flags and Plastic Gun-Clip-Mag-Attachment-Banning the libtards think you can just slap on a wait period, or make the NICS charge $10000000 dollars, or charge $10K for a box of ammo and all of their problems will vanish and everyone will embrace and sip Chai Tea Lattes and listen to Taylor Swift and talk about feelings.

Life is hard. Life sucks. People die everyday over stupid crap. I buried 17 friends of mine before I even graduated high school. Gun control doesn't save or prolong lives - it either shortens them or ends it outright.

My prayers are going to the families - I could not deal, if I were to see my wife get gunned down on live TV and not be able to do anything. Then the asshat went and killed himself and robbed everyone of vengeance.

God help us. Not like any UN Ban or Hilldabeast sanction is going to make me hand over my pieces, they can get bent by a rhino.

Rant off.

Excellent. Saved for posterity.

I bet if that would have been a white person doing the shooting and the news people being Black the race baiters would have connected it right back the that Church shooting. Since it was Black on White most of the main stream news medias are avoiding it like the plague................. :ugh: :ugh:

The reporter's father is now on live TV calling for increased 'reasonable' gun control, and literally just said that he'll probably have to get a gun to protect himself now that he is in the media spotlight...

It's refreshing to hear some young people nowadays with some smarts and common sense.
