Ugh. Wish mine wasn't sporterized. Well, the barreled action is right, but the rest not so much. Been on the stock hunt for a while, not much luck for me. Hopefully your luck is better.

Saw at least one of each @ the RK show last week in K'ville but wasn't aware of prices , they occasionally are found @ auctions ...Good luck !

Thanks guys, this will be used as part of WWI programs as we near the centennial of the war so trying to balance authenticity with budget.  I prefer the one I can track down to be rather rough, because it will continue to be used rather rough, if that makes sense.

I picked up one today from an online auction.  I think it's sporterized but i am not 100% sure.  The stock isn't full lenght as I think of most milsurp rifles.  But what has me wondering is it has a steel but plate.  It just wouldn't seem to me a sporter would have a steel plate but back in the 20s or 30s who knows.  It is an eddystone.  If you are interested in a pic I could text it to you.  I can't seem to get pics uploaded on here.

A functioning 1903 won’t be cheap. Can you use Demilitarized Drill Rifles or non-functioning copies?

Saw a sportized 03 on FB in the last couple of days.  Must have sold, because I can't find it now, but the price was $300.  That's about what I would expect for a sportized one.
