Put a short rail on top side and use Troy VTAC light mount?

Or perhaps a bit more bulky with an aluminum and steel cheapo from eBay, which works fine:

Can probably just hang the vtac light mount off to the left of the toprail on the Troy Alpha.

If you don't want the light mount interrupting the top rail, or have something else that needs to be there you could mount a short rail section on the side then attach the vtac light doohickey to that.

EDIT: another option, if you want to spend a little more - mount the rail section in the slot where you want it (the one on the angle, between the side and top) and use this fancy kajigger from surefire Viola! QD release for your flashlight, without removing your mount.
