That's a great price, they seem to command a premium.

My wife carries one. They are NOT a fun range toy but they are reliable and accurate enough. I put a couple hundred rounds through hers when she first bought it from a member here and it chewed em up and spit em out. ....and left a nice sore spot to boot.

I agree, a very pretty handgun but rough on the shooting hand. I traded mine for a Sig P938, which is more pleasant to shoot.

It's a nice pistol, very nice, just a bit thicker than a SA XDs 9 and S&W Shield. Were you looking at NIB pistol's I'd steer you towards a Shield or G-43. Overall though for an all metal pistol the SOLO is pretty much in a class of its own.

I have owned and carried my solo for about four years and absolutely love it. Striker fire, single action with 1911 ergonomics. Only issue I've had is the finish on my bitone black frame is easy to scratch. I'm just waiting until I can't stand the look and get it cerakoted. Its a short slide with heavy springs and Kimber recommendes shooting 124 grain or heavier rounds. I pack mine with Hornity 147 xtp. BTW, $500 is a great price. Edited by Mykltn
