The Kahr CW9, CW45 and CM9 are more options in that price range. You already have a G19, so probably no reason to get a CW9. The CW45 is a nice shooting 45, though. I have one and like it. I've read (haven't tried it yet) that it will accept standard 1911 magazines. The CM9 is a little smaller than the Shield if you're looking for a deep concealment gun.

Since you're in Chatt, I'd pay a visit to GT Distributors in Rossville if you haven't already. They usually have a glass case full of used guns in your price range. Edited by Wingshooter

Bit the billet on the shield last night, slick guns had it for $326 brand new. Thanks for all the suggestions, I will be keeping those in mind for the future.

I think you made a wise choice that you won't regret.    You may like the M&P platform so much that you sell that ugly Glock 19 and go with a full size M&P.    :)

I paid 326 shipped to my local gun dealer, so after background check and transfer fee of $40 I will be in the gun $366 total. That's a great buy from what I have been looking at.

You did fine on that deal but inside of a year or less you'll end up buying a Glock 43 because you've already been infected with Glock polymers.  Just remember to hold onto the Shield because its probably the best value for the dollar gun currently being made and sold by S&W. But now that you have two 9mm pistols your should start looking around for a good used 3"-4" .357 Magnum S&W or Ruger revolver. ;-)

The TriStar Canik pistols are first rate. This one has a "make offer" flag on it, which means you can prolly get it down enough to help defray FFL fees. Shipping is free. I have two of their compacts and they are first rate - comes with two MecGar mags and the factory CZ 75 mags work in it just fine. Really worth a look. (These are designed very closely after the CZ line of pistols.)

Here is a good review of the compact version of this pistol:

Don't let them mess with you....I own two glocks but love my shield 9mm...switch between carrying the shield and a glock 42....the glock 42 is easy to carry in a pocket!

Oh trust me it doesn't bother me haha, I absolutely love my Glock. Look forward to having something new and experiencing something a little different though.

I would have bought this but as you know I already bought one. You'd have to purchase some hardware for IWB carry but you'd still come out ahead.

I already have the Tuckable Soft-Loops with Offset Wings for my other hoslter, so for this new one for the Shield I purchased the "Tuckable Overhooks". I t hink I will like them (will like them if they work as advertised).

EDIT: If it was something that you didn't want, I bet you could sell the OWB pancake for $15 shipped

You should be happy with the shield its a great gun. I owned a shield and sold it for a g42 when they came out that I then traded on a G43. Liked the shield but love the g43.
