Knoxville gunsmith help

Recommended Posts

I have a Remington field master .22 pump that was my late father's when he was a kid. However the extractor is broken and I can't seem to find anything online in the ways if help for it. It has a lot of sentimental value to me so I am trying to get it back to working condition.

Now for my question does anyone on the fine board know of a place near or around knoxville that can possibly make the part if needed or maybe jas been in business so long might have some old Remington parts hanging around.

Thank yall in advance for your help.

Is it a 121 or 572 Fielmaster?  I assume it's a 121 so here is where you can get an extractor:  https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Remington-33454/Rifles-37895/121-39477.htm

Here's a video on removing the bolt:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nHoDYBzJzY

Not entirely sure how the extractor is removed/installed but it can't be all that difficult.  The schematic linked about should help.

I took it to a gun smith while I was working in PA and they couldn't seem to locate a part for it. But it was also a small over worked shop so I don't know if they took the time to really look or had the capacity to make a new one. I have considered talking to Remington directly but I like dealing face to face.

No local shop is even remotely likely to have something like that laying around.

572 extractors, spring, and pin:

That doesn't use double extractors does it? Those for separate right/left hand eject models they used to make I guess?
