USPS tracking.....WTF??!!!?

My experience with USPS is that I receive the package before the tracking updates. :shrug:

I've always received exceptional service from USPS until recently. I ordered some parts on August 5th. The parts left Simi Valley, Ca on the 5th, stayed in Virginia from the 9th till the 14th, back to the vendor in California on the 16th, got me excited by arriving in Memphis on the 18th, arrived in Maryland on the the 20th, departed Maryland on the 21th.

I'm no longer angry. I was going to contact my credit card company, but since it wasn't a great deal of money,I'm going to watch to see how much further the package travels.

Yeah, I don't know how the heck the USPS scanners work, obviously only updated periodically at quite long durations. Dunno if delay is because of web interface or actual data transmission though.

 

FedEx and UPS beam the data continually as long as there's a reachable cell tower, you can see update usually within a minute of having received a package. (was still using cell tech when I was doing it, might be straight to satellite now or something, dunno).

Twenty states have a city or town named Lafayette. I think we are the only one that pronounces it the way we do!

I have 99.9% good service with USPS.....I have the prime service with Amazon 2 days and it's here .....awesome.  And I pay zero bucks for shipping.  Loves me Amazon

Looks like they finally trapped my package in Virginia. Hopefully I'll see it soon.

I bought a gun case on ebay last week. I see it left Memphis today headed for the black hole known as South Haven, Mississippi. :ugh: I've found that this isn't reassuring news. I'm glad it's a gun case and not a life saving device. :D

 

I never order anything I consider critical via mail, so I just sit back and enjoy the show.
