Bushmaster AR's

in the last few years Bushmaster AR's have taken a goodly whoopin' on a lot of forums. But what are they like now after all the moves, buyouts, and turmoil they've gone through in the last ten years. Are they still having quality problems or have they worked their way through them? Their prices sure seem to be up there. Any observations?

I have one.  Honestly, I don't know much about it, i.e. where it was made, who owned them at the time, etc.  I have not had any issues from it at all.  It is pretty much unmolested.  I put a magpul grip, KNS anti rotational pins in it, and did a little fluff and buff on the trigger.  Otherwise, pretty much stock.  Of the various home defense options I have, I trust it enough that it takes the spot next to the bed.

I have had one.  20" A2 rifle.  It rattled like an AK when you shook it.

Over 2K rounds through it before I sold it, ZERO failures.  Would hit a clay target at 100 yards with iron sights to the point of being boring and monotonous.

Maybe they're not top of the shelf finest ever made like LWRC or Larue........but if they go bang every time like mine did & hit the target, how can they be bad?

Only reason i sold mine, I was tired of such a long and heavy rifle.

have a 2 year old MOE Bushmaster. 0 issues and a lot of dead hogs

Jwhjwh54, looks like you're on a short final there in your avatar. Is that 36 at MBT, or some other airport?

I also notice you are from Nashville...and killing hogs. I'd love to get in on a hog hunt in the area. Do you hunt locally, or go on commercial hunts?
