Bev ("Tennessee") Spickard is also a Distinguished Rifleman and multi-time President's One Hundred winner. 

 

He is the man who first took me to the firing line many years ago - - - Lord how I wish I could read the wind like him!

 

I still recall, back in the day when M14s ruled service rifle, watching Bev hammer the X ring at 600 yards...., with me hoping against hope that I wouldn't fling one out into the 8 ring.
