I used to participate, but a few too many type A kool-aid drinkers for me

^That^

+1. In fact same can be said for most firearm forums. I like being on a local forum where the member you're talking to is just as likely you're neighbor as anything. It really helps cut down on the machismo bravado BS.

I used to be into a lot of forums. Warrior talk being one of them. I just got sick of the tinfoil, the mall ninjas, the operators and the unarmed self defense experts. Now TGO and one other local forum are the only ones I even visit, mostly because I know a lot of the guys here personally. Hell both of the posters above me have shot at my house and been to my blacksmith shop lol. Not sure what to tell you abiut being approved, but be careful about joining some places. You will burn yourself out on forums really quick.

Gabe booted me. For stating some legal facts that differed from a couple of his avowals. Fortunately Will Rogers never got a chance to meet him.

I've participated in several different firearms forums but driffed away from the narcissest know it all attitudes of the larger ones. There's no need to name names or point fingers because most of us have wittnesed the above nonsense. FWIW it's not just firearms forums though that have dominanant jerks who are more self important behind the faceless screen of a computer. I will point out the tactical "knowledge" exposed in forums is a lot of combined gamesmanship. IOW consider with due care.

Same here.  I've come to think of TGO as a community as much as an online forum.

Sad thing is, there is a lot of good info at WarriorTalk (and I recommend a lot of Suarez's books, videos, and training), but the "Cult of Personality" is over the top.

It's probably some of the worst I've seen in the internet gun world.

He did.

We both suck.

The only the one that got hurt was the fence to a cow pasture, and I'm still blaming my mom for that one as long as nobody tells her.  :ugh:  :shhh:  :taser:

Sure sounded like world war III for a bit though. I'm pretty sure the fence was broken by your mom, as long as she doesn't have an account here.

Yeah, definitely Nicky's mom.  See we have our stories straight so we're good.

Funny how fan boys work. They find the one "guru" then no matter the evidence they blindly follow and attack anyone who isn't a fan boy. Some of these people are fanatical in their defense of someone they probably have never met too or even talked to.
