I'm really looking forward to this series. Lo-Cap  mags and bullet buttons to the rescue!!!!

Don't forget the rape whistles too ...

My main issue is the step dad and mom both went to the church and saw copious amounts of blood and didn't call the cops? No drug house has that amount of blood without a mass homicide.

so i watched it and as others have said yes it was slow but got better towards the end when stories of what was going on started coming out, so maybe it will get better in future episodes

No comments on last nights show?  I gave it a second chance.  Seems to be picking up a bit now that society is collapsing.  I give Tobias 2 more episodes... no way he can out run a walker.  Poor Californians, by the time they go thru the process of legally possessing a handgun, they will be dead.

I bet he lasts (even though he had to be saved from his first Zed encounter). I think he'll out smart 'em, maybe become somewhat of a leader.

Last night's episode ramped up nicely.   This show is going places now.

Tobias is smart and ahead of the curve,  he might be alright.  While the original plan was to go to the desert I think hunkering down and staying home is the best thing right now.  No way to get to the desert as the streets are clogged. There was a nice graphic in Story Sync that showed the problems with the highways

NO guns yet other than the cops.

I think they are doing a nice job of showing how society will start to break down.   And also some of the cold blooded decisions that need to be made.

I like how they are approaching this show but they better have some action next week. I don't want it to be another Walking Dead but I also don't want to watch Days of Our Lives. With a 6 episode season they need to get the ball rolling.

Oh, I imagine it'll get with it. There's 15 underway for next year.

what happened to the cart full of supplies Madison and Tobias had?  After she offed the principal they would have had time to take it with them.

Made no sense to just leave it.

I expect next week will be more violent if that's what you are looking for.

Yeah. I think they are doing a great job of slowly building into the "walker" threat. I just don't think they can creep around it for another episode. I thought the coolest bit in this episode was one neighbor having a freaking birthday party while the other neighbor was loading up to get out of dodge.

Also interested to see what the group calls them in this show.

I need to pay closer attention to the time frame.  While we have watched two episodes in 8 days how many days has the story advanced in their world?

Food is going to start getting scarce, even if next weeks episode only makes it three days in their time.

I don't think they're trying to apply an exact timeline, except that it's "quick", so just 2 or 3 days at most so far. As Tobias says pointedly to reinforce that, "when civilization ends, it ends fast".

Next episode is in two weeks, the Zeds wanted Labor Day weekend off. :)

Notice the neighbor loading up his vehicle was coughing?  Good indication of how it spreads.

And Travis spotted that cop loading up his trunk with bottled water during all the chaos.

Yeah the coughing made me wonder....Patient zero maybe? :ugh:

I think they needed to either have the mother say out loud that she knows the infected are already dead, or have had a different reaction to bashing in Principal Walker's head.  She did eventually cry while alone, but if she really thought that she was forced to kill a living person, I think she would have tried to call 911, the police, etc, even if it was a futile attempt.  The way they both walked out of school suggested that they it was more than just self defense, I think.

I think the creators have said in the past that the concept of "zombies" doesn't exist in the Walking Dead universe, so no one in the show is supposed to have frame of reference when the dead start re-animating.  Therefore, I think there would be more denial as to what they are seeing (i.e., explaining away the victims still moving after being shot or hit by a car as "drug-fueled" or "adrenaline rush").

I wish they would explain more to each other. I find it very unrealistic that if I had just seen an undead human hit by a car 5 times or just bashed in the head of my coworker with a fire extinguisher, you wouldn't have to pry that story out of me. It would be spewing from my mouth non stop. There is too much "follow me I'll explain later" of course I'm very impatient :)

In a book series I'm listening to there's this hippie that's done so many drugs that his brain is fried. He thinks the group is headed to a Dead concert. He calls the zombies "the funky people" because they smell. I'm guessing it reminds him of the hippies back in his days, LOL.

I get the sense that Madison can't wrap her head around what she has witnessed and done.  Same for Travis.  I believe they are wrestling with the fact they they witnessed murder or committed it.   They don't have the luxury of knowing what we know.

Has the junky on talked about it to his sister?

Seriously Tobias is the only one with a clue.
