I don't know man, if Trump plays that 1-5-10-15 tax plan that most of us never heard of, people will be jumping onboard faster than the ship can stay afloat.  He could have Biden as the VP and I would still vote for him with that plan.

Maybe.

But right now, the polls are more name recognition than anything else right now.  Forget who said it, but it was true, if any well known sports figure had announced a month ago and filled out the paperwork he'd be on the main stage tonight too.

It sounds great to them until the communist news networks begin reporting alleged "studies" that his tax plan nullifies their government bennies.

News won't go after him, he's embedded with them too deep.  Even the liberal outlets haven't zoned in on him like they have the other candidates.

There was nothing I heard in the highlights tonight that would make me not vote for the Donald.

He said things that were dumb, and things that PO'd people.  He is still my guy.

I really don't like professional politicians.   Trump is a breath of fresh air, still.

It really does not matter how he does on the fly.  What matters are decisions he might make on issues after having time to study them.

I don't need a flippant candidate.

Can I get me some more Dr. Ben Carson please?
He could win if he got the nomination, but he won't get the nomination.

I like Ben and would vote for him if he were the nominee but he's not my first choice right now.

Okay, break out the popcorn and let the fight begin so I will start it. Donald Trump is an all mouth, flipflopping closet democrat showman who is incompetent to be our President.

I admire Paul for having the guts to confront Trump but he's too weak on foreign policy, I did like a lot of what Hukabee had to say, i'm liking Huckabee a lot more now.

I want to watch the debate between the other 7 online, the only thing I have decided right now is who "NOT" to vote for in the primary and that's Trump, Christie, and although I like him and his stand on the Constitution I will not vote for Paul, we need a strong military and respect from our allies and enemies.

Well, I think you can watch The Donald's polling lead start throttling back now.

Donald Trump is the "professional wrestler" of the candidates.

I see nothing to change my bet on Rubio eventually winning out. He did quite well enough to bump up a good bit. Cruz and Huckabee, and even Christie too, to some degree I guess. Most all of that will come at expense of Trump's points, I'd say.

I saw Jeb's performance as pretty much a neutral meh.

The Christie/Paul rhubarb was fun.

I'm not sold on Trump. I really appreciate his verbal incontinence and I believe he would probably run the business aspects the country very well. But there's more too it than that.

Plus, I think he's a closet liberal when he falls out of peoples good graces.

been watching FOX and their recap.  Been hearing the whining about how Trump spoke to Kelly. So what? Who cares?  She certainly is not offended.   I give her more credit than that.

Who does not want to hear our president say that kind of stuff to some asshole world leader?    Why is his honesty and frank speaking a problem?

Why do we prefer whitewashed politicians?    WTF?

I want a guy who will call a spade a spade.

Trump:  No shock moment, which was the shock.  I pissed myself laughing at the Rosie O'Donnell comment, but he blew the bankruptcy question.  He should have compared his bad investments with bad government programs saying we need to cut our losses and walk away from them like he did the bankrupt businesses he has on his record.

Bush:  Playing for time...he knows he has the money to outlast most of that stage, so he's not going to go strong in the 1st debate.

Walker:  Wasn't as aggressive as I thought he would be, kind of a meh night for him.

Huckabee:  Not bad, but not good. I don't see staying power from him, however.

Rubio:  Great job making the most of his time; probably what he and his team drilled on based on what I saw.

Carson:  Had good answers, but needs to be more assertive to get that "strong leader" aspect.

Cruz:  Came across as a weasel to me; I really think he should have stayed on the legal side of politics- he could have been a future Republican SCOTUS nominee instead of getting into the legislature and running for President with his pedigree.

Paul:  Getting lost in the crowd, and isn't pushing the libertarian message that brought him to the dance well enough.

Christie:  Needs to drop out riki tik; did nothing for himself tonight.

Kasich:  Fairly good, you can tell he's been in a debate before.  He's hoping all the God talk will resonate with the base that might be seeing him for the first time.

Cruz and Huckabee impressed me the most. I bet and hope now that this race will turn from emotion to seriousness and people will tell Trump he's had his day and his say. If he runs as an independent in the general and ruins our chance of getting a president we can respect for the first time in a decade, he will be the most hated and despised man in the U.S.

I think he'll just fade away period after Super Tuesday, and won't be a factor even if he does go nuts and run indie (and I'll bet he won't).

I'm extremely disappointed in Fox News after tonight's debate...

1.) It was a circus and unorganized.

2.) They picked fights between candidates and tried to make Jeb Bush look like a knight in shining armor.

3.) They made it a point to try and bury Trump early "literally the first question" and never looked back after that.

Fair and unbiased my ass...

I'm glad they did ask that first question, it clearly showed that Trump doesn't care about defeating the Democrat nominee, he's in this race for one thing and that's Donald Trump, not the future of the United States.

I saw it as the opposite...he's said that if you're going to try to force me out with me in the lead I'm going to run on my own and see what I can do. The system is rigged and he knows that and so do most voters.

Both sides have me pretty mad right now honestly...with the exception of a few people, they are all working together. Congress has proven that.

Ted Cruz stood out tho and Rand Paul telling Chris to go hug Obama again was hilarious.

Rubio didn't impress me, typical political stump speak for about all his answers.

Carson did well considering. He had the best closing remark and best race explanation.

Expected more from Walker, RPaul came off as an arrogant prick almost as bad as Trump.

I like Cruz. Huck was enjoyable to watch. Don't care for any of the rest.

I hope to see more of Cruz, Carly and Carson.

I just saw an arrogant man who pretends to have done a complete 180 with his political views just to pander to the voters. I don't trust him at all, he's in this race purely for the title of, Donald Trump, the President of the United States and will take revenge against the GOP, and the American people if he's not elected by running as a third party candidate allowing a democrat victory.

Democrats could win without Donald running as an independent because of debates like tonight...this whole debate should be a huge embarrassment to the GOP. With that said, just because Fox News doesn't like some of the candidates doesnt mean they should attack them like they did. Its not a debate at that point. The entire GOP machine and Fox News has already picked Jeb Bush...whats the point in even having a debate? Honestly...what is the point? Trump called them out and said if you're going to rig the system I'll bring the world crashing down because this isnt right. It has nothing to do with loyalty to the republican party...I am as conservative as they come and I can not stand the republican party right now. All they do is go along with what Obama says and make empty promises time and time again...he called them out, they are trying to kill him before he gets too much steam, and tonight is the end result. Kudos to him for calling them out on the BS they spew all of the time...Cruz will be the next target because he also called them out tonight. You start threatening the big machine and they'll come after you with everything they have.

My prediction is Trump will get more popular after tonight...the more he's attacked by the republicans, the more popular he will get. Drudge Poll already has him WAY ahead of everybody else after the debate tonight and that is one of the most conservative frequented sites in the world.

Instead of Trump going third party he should run as a democrat. He gets what he really wants unless his goal is to piss off more republicans and see the country continue its downward spiral.

Don't put much faith in the Drudge poll. Let's see where he is by this time next week.

I'm aware of what Fox news is about but i'm glad they did call Trump out because he's an egotistical narcissist. I didn't see them pandering to Jeb all that much as you might have either, they did ask Trump some tough questions and if he can't handle them without threatening revenge he doesn't belong in the White House any more than the egotistical narcissist already there.
