Need help finding a story

Recommended Posts

A few years ago, maybe as many as five, but I think it was in the 2012 timeframe, there was a story in (I think) Memphis where a guy was defending the life of his family in his apartment against the lady's ex husband or boyfriend and was shot something like 16 times with a .40 caliber pistol and was able to make it to the ambulance under his own power. At least that's how I remember the story. Does anyone else remember this and perhaps remember enough of the details that they might be able to point me to it? Apparently I'm misremembering some important parts because a search on here and a Google search both left me empty handed. Thanks in advance to the Google Fu Xiao Lin master that helps me find it.

That's another amazing one, Omega, but that's not the one. The one I'm trying to find was definitely a while ago. I actually found it the last time someone asked about it, but I think possibly it has since been cannibalized by "the system." Mwa ha ha.
