Vortex Strike Eagle thumbs down

So I got a chance to see through one in person.. the 1x is horrible but everything else is good to go ....I would rather spend the money else where though..

Didn't give us much info there.  What exactly is bad?  Clarity?  Reticle?  Not a true 1x?

The scope in 1x has issues such as fisheye effect as well as the distortion . The reticle doesn't look bad but about half out from the center to the edge the distortion not good and blurry.

That's unfortunate to hear. I just put a Viper PST on a rifle and would rate it on par with much more expensive optics.

That's disapponting about the Strike Eagle.  Was the scope mounted on a rifle and at what distance away were you viewing objects on 1x?

not mounted on a rifle.. I looked at objects at all distances ...the scope was at the outpost armory here locally

I agree as I love Vortex products ..but this one was disappointing.

Vortex sells a wide range of quality. The PST line is good to go.

I would contact Vortex and tell them. They are constantly improving.
