Just got done assembling her about 30 minutes ago. No good photos yet; instead I've been assembling an animated GIF of the assembly process, which I thought would be kind of cool.

Going out to eat with the family now; gun porn to follow later.

Dude! I need help!

Well, that, and I need an upper. And a barrel. And all the little fiddly bits that go in the upper and lower. Regardless, she looks pretty shnazzy.

Speaking of Del-Ton, how are they (not to derail - feel free to PM me).

And, yes, I am building a cheese-grater. Why do you ask?

Del-Ton, like the rest of the industry, is swamped right now. Last I checked, they were quoting 4-8 week build times for uppers.

Luckily, I ordered mine the Friday before election day, which made it exactly two weeks from me placing the order to it arriving on my doorstep. They quoted me a 1-2 week turnaround, and it shipped Wednesday, so that's pretty good IMO.

As for the kit, it seems to be well-built. I'm not really an authority on ARs, so I can't look at it and offer much of an educated opinion. She'll be going to the range Sunday, so I'll find out how she shoots.

And finally, pics!

Took me about 90 minutes to assemble the lower. Most annoying thing was the bolt catch. I can see where a good roll pin holder would make that a lot easier...

Looks very nice. Makes me want to go build me one. Too bad I'm too lazy to do it.

Nice,

I'm working on my first build now. I have everything but the completed upper :D

I contacted Del-Ton they said a 10wks to ship the upper (and it is in stock). Contacted Wilson Combat to get an upper from them, nope they are only selling completed rifles for the time being. I may end up haveing to assemble my upper, but I'd rather get a completed one, oh well.

If you dont need it IMMEDIATELY, why not just order one and wait? That was my logic... until 5 days after I placed my order when I got EXTREMELY impatient...

Check the classifieds here, someone has a pretty nice Stag build for a decent price.
