Winchester 9422 magnum

Hello guys I have a winchester 9422 Magnum that I brought used and its missing the bolt, does any body know if a bolt from a winchester 9422 long rifle will work fine? someone told me that the bolt for 22 mag its heat treated and so its harder than the 22 long rifle, I compare both bolts cuz I own both guns and the only difference that I can see is the ejector in the 22 long its a little larger then the other but price wise one   for a magnum$170.00 and for a  long rifle bolt its $90.00 please help me on this cuz if both bolts are the same I can only  replace the ejector with one for 22 magnum and convert it into a 22mag.

A 22 LR bolt used in a 22 WMR 9422 might manually hand cycle but there will be other issues. Headspace and the rim fire firing pin piercing the rimfire shells base are two such problems. W/O doubt there are others but as a general rule use OEM parts for repair or sell it to someone else. The first thing I would have to ask myself would be, "Why is the .22WMR bolt $80 more than the LR bolt?"  I mean, I know that sometimes companies will jack up the price for just about an identical item - such as auto parts, for example (sometimes the OEM part for an auto maker's 'premium' line can cost more than the same part for its regular line, like the same part costing more if it is 'for' a Cadillac than if it is for a Chevy - and the Chevy part is identical and will work fine on the Caddillac.)  However, in this case I would suspect there is more to the price difference than that.  In other words, maybe it is due to the heat treating you mentioned, maybe it is due to using diffrent (better?) materials or whatever but I suspect there is a good reason the WMR bolt costs more and that same reason would probably mean it wouldn't be such a good idea to replace it with a LR part.

Jab thank you so much  I will really consider to get a 22 magnum bolt,  better to be on the safe side.
