I got a set of these installed and thought I'd post a cell phone picture of the result.  The front diamond really stands out when taking aim.  I look forward to trying these tomorrow.

I bought night sights.  It looks like they are made for Glocks, Springfield XD, XDm, and XDs, S&W M&Ps, and Sigs.  Here's a link to their website.

I've been considering a set of those sights because its enough of a dissimilar sight picture to keep your eye on the front sight. I'll be looking forward to follow up information from you on the set of sights you purchased.

Thanks for the pics and link.

I'm wondering after looking at these, does the high, angular/pointed end of the sights, especially the front, snag on clothing or carry rig?

Well, if you want to see them up close, shoot me a PM and maybe we can meet at a range.  I'm always looking for a reason to go, and good shooting tips too.  I'm going to try and go to Nashville Armory tomorrow.  Let me know if you're in the area.  It's too dang hot to go outside.

those are great sights I had them on my XDS 45 that I had, at the time they were made for the glocks and the XD models, they are sent out for a tritium treatment, so will last as long as the tritium is good. Good stuff they are I haven't look in to see if they make them for 1911 type guns.

sucks just went and looked and they don't make them for a 1911 that I can tell, I never found much problem with the from site when holstering or un-holstering, but YMMV, they are good in the night, when I bought them the XDS had just hit the market and the guy was having trouble keeping up with demand, but has probably changed since them.

Well, I just got back from the range.  It took me a couple shots to realize to cover up the target with the big green diamond.  Man, that diamond really jumps out at you.  I let a couple of the range guys at Nashville Armory look at them.  I think they're a keeper for me.  I'm not a great shooter, but this is 5 shots at 8 yards.
