Eh, anomaly. For a barrel to shift like that is not normal. Years of hard use on millions around the world has proven the barrel won't pull out of the front trunnion like that if it is done half way right. I would learn towards something very unusual.

And as far as the barrel drooping it is probably from the barrel getting hot and then as the gas exerts force on the piston it applies an equal amount of force to the gas block bending the barrel down. Not really sure how one could fix that flaw without going to a heavier barrel like what is used in an RPK or similar. perhaps cooling fines before and after the gas block might help as well.

I have personally seen several full auto AKs get more than that without issue. Heck I have sent more full auto rounds down range using an AK than this one did but I will say mine were not mag dump after mag dump either.

And yeah, if the barrel moved inside the trunion then there is a SERIOUS issue unrelated to the amount of rounds fired. Surprised it didn't have a case rupture from the headspace being so loose.

Barrel droop is actually accounted for in the design. Shoot, it's actually part of the harmonic design the long barrels like the PSL/Dragaunov were built around. US designers try to eliminate barrel droop, but the Russians actual account for it calling it barrel whip. Moving in the trunnion is not a result of barrel whip.
