Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. Just moved to murfreesboro. If anybody knows of any outdoor ranges that are available to an out of shape paper punchers I would appreciate it. I've been shooting handguns for a while and have recently caught the AR bug. I have found an indoor range, but nothing so far as outdoor to learn ins and outs for distace shooting and would love any info on ranges, classes or anybody who would be willing to pass on any knowlege that may be helpful. Thanks, and and I am eager to learn.

There is a range on Hobson Pike called Stones River Range. I have been there once. It is $5 for 2 hours I believe. You have to bring your weapons in a carry case, and eye + hearing protection is required. Other than that it is pretty easy to shoot there.
