Check out the moon tonight. It's red.

Yep, awesome to see it, especially when you're not expecting it to be red.

The sunset was real redish this evening also, you could look at it for a short time with your eyes. Must be some big fires up north.

I didnt get out of work in time to see the sunset, but sure noticed that red moon when I was driving home.

I agree, must be hellacious fires!

The sun was giving off an amber-pinkish hue all day. Probably just the weather an the time of year, but it was very noticeable. Moon out here was distinctively pink, which was a first for me. Glad I wasn't the only one to notice...

Nights like this make me miss night shifts. Better binos would be nice too.

Smoke from wildfires in canada, coming down about 2000 miles so you know it's a smokey mess up there.

One year there was a bad fire around Yellowstone in Wyoming. I lived in Metro Denver, and we got the smoke from it. It was hazy and smelled like smoke for a week. Once the fine particulates get into the high atmosphere they tend to stay for quite a while. It can actually affect global temperatures.

Obama ordered NASA to have the moon tinted pink to celebrate the gay marriage victory ...

Careful now, you're treading dangerously close to "climate change" theory there ...
