Not going to comment about it just find it kind of odd that there is a thread about Sandy Hook here and on the other site I read Ingo Indiana gun owners.

Wait-- did you just start a new thread to say you weren't commenting on a different thread? (Confused) Edited by Parrothead

I think it's about topics spreading like bunnies in heat across forums. Either way, it's time to go to Margaritaville, Parrothead.

Well not really. I just happen to have friends at ingo. So I still read it as well. But at any rate I wont comment on the SH discussion I just found it odd that I noticed a the topic here then when I checked in at ingo there was a very similar discussion ongoing there as well. In which there were some very similar trains of thought. Edited by wcd

I can promise you this was the only place I talked about it.
I have come to my senses.

I just found it odd that the same topic would be on two forumns that I Enjoy. Truth of the matter though TGO based on my experience has members who are more interested in sharing insight and ideas versus flaming those who don't drink the same cool aid.

What if I don't like drinking to cool-aid, huh? What if I like milk? Organic milk.....

While the example the OP gave doesn't fit, the pattern of similar topics being brought up on multiple sites is valid.  Easy enough to happen because most of the people on gun sites read the same conservative news sources, and some are on multiple sites.  I'm on M4C, but rarely post there and another military site I post on semi-regularly, and on both those other sites, I see the same topics come up around the same times.

Just a way news is being spread in the modern age...I equate it to the way taverns were used for news and debate in the past.

The gun industry attracts conspiracy theorists. Every industry has their kooks, or their "ultra left wing" "ultra right wing" type people the majority wishes would shut up i would wager. The Alex jones types seem to be ours.

Edit: Oh, and the fanatical open carry crowd.

I'm all for open carry, I'm just too cheap to get a HCP. Nothing says freedom like paying around $200 for permission to carry.

That's going to require the caliber of "flamethrower" because that wimpy .45 just won't do.
