WIFI Mobile Hotspot?

Recommended Posts

HI all,

doing a bit of travel.

I need a mobile WiFi connection or something (not a card, multiple devices will connect at times)

SO, from a technical perspective (work pays for half), what is a better choice in regards to speed & security?

Thanks,

Bert

I use a Mobile Hot Spot I purchased through AT&T, Verizon and others offer the same or similar set ups. Mine uses the same cell towers as my cell phone so if your in range its all good. IIRC I started out with 8 G and later went with 10 G for only a little more money.

If your Straight Talk is an Android phone on the Verizon network then you might want to try PdaNet:  http://pdanet.co/

Here's what it will work on:  http://pdanet.co/help/devices.php

I have Net10 (AT&T) and use FoxFi (same as PdaNet) and haven't had any issues.  They say you're not allowed to tether, but I think as long as you're not downloading movies they don't notice... or don't care. :2cents:
