Hello, TGO

Just getting started here. I lurked a bit for a while, but finally decided to join the herd.

 

My name is Josh and I'm a born and raised Knoxville fellow. My dad was Army for a stent and raised me to shoot safely, even if we didn't shoot that often.

 

Currently I'm active USAF stationed at Ft Gordon in GA, but I frequently come home to Knoxville on leave. I've been getting in to shooting on my own a lot more in the past year, and have even started getting into IDPA, having run my first match this past April up at the ORSA. I'm also looking to get started in 3 gun by August (wife permitting!).

 

I've got a Glock 19 and a Ruger SP101 at the moment, and I'm waiting on a RRA R3 upper to come in so I can build my first AR.

 

For the future, if I like 3 gun, I'll likely look into getting a Stoeger m300 as a starter shotgun.

 

Oh and though I'm currently without it, I'm hoping to have my CWP in the works before August. I’ve neglected getting until now because the carry laws in GA are nice enough to allow many people to interpret us military to fall under the same category as law enforcement and carry without a permit. I just have to remember to disarm myself before crossing any borders.

3gun is a lot of fun. It turns into a long day but fun. A use a Stoeger M3000 and have been very happy with it.
