my 5 yr old found this in my yard, snake fang?

Looking like a snake fang, my kid found it near his playground equipment, also if its say from a poisonous snake would it be able to still contain venom in it?
Its about 2 & 1/4" long about the thickness of a pencil down to a point on the other end.
Its definitely a tooth, and it seems to have a little dried blood on the flat end of the tooth.
Anyone know what it is?

Thinking that would have come from a snake but I always thought the fangs were curved inward.
The area where it was found has tall grass and an old composting heap underneath. No dead animal near the site

Well I seen some snakes can have straight'er looking fangs also it seems to have that shape to a fang where it has the flattened part where the venom would come out.
Think is way too huge to be a toenail haha

Way to thick for a snake fang, but could be a tooth of an animal, might be a possum.

magnifying glass if hollow at the small end think i would be moving. looks too big to be snake though. people do import some very unsafe animals to the country.

Definitely not a snake.
The only snake with a 2" fang is the Gaboon Viper & if you've got one of those rascals....you're in Africa.

I honestly couldn't tell you what it might be, but it certainly isn't anything to do with a snake.

Could it be a tooth from Bigfoot?

Nah, I'm going with a toenail. How about a Hawk or Eagle talon?
