Nope, just caught this on youtube by chance. I haven't watched E3 since before I got into college because the time just isn't there.

I literally grinned ear to ear when they said it's not exclusive. Just bought an Xbox one. This is literally the best RPG ever made in my opinion. Hopefully it's a good mix of updated graphics with similar gameplay but something to make it even more awesome. Maybe ship upgrades or something.

Just got the Steam version of the original running. It's great so far.

Oh man, I am so stoked.

I had heard they green lit it on some youtube video awhile back, but that was all for long enough to almost forget about it until it came up in chat one night. I really didn't want a next generation console, but I guess this plus the new Batman coming out kind of seals the deal for me.

Now I guess I have to figure out who to throw my money at.

Xbox one has sling TV app if you are the cord cutter type. That's one reason why I bought it. I have that, Netflix and an antenna. There is talk of a DVR function for the Xbox coming.

I bought the original on the PS3 a while back. It was just so dated I couldn't get into like I once did. No telling how many hours I had in that game grinding trying to beat the Ruby Weapon. Then you get to the end and find out you have to use all the other characters that you haven't been training AT ALL. The good ole' days right?  :pleased:

This is why I haven't replayed it. When it came out it was the best looking thing on the market and the story was fantastic. I would rather just have the romanticized memory of it than the sudden realization that it was bad but I was a teenager. They went downhill after this one anyways. 8 was ok, 9 wasn't good, 10 spiked upward but 12 wasn't fun and 13 can die in a fire. I'm not even going to count the X2's etc. I played 11 and 14 though, but I wouldn't count them as "final fantasy".

The best JRPG i've played in the last decade was Lost Odyessy.

Dude Lost Odyessy is my #2 for sure. It is one alot of folks don't know about. FF10 is probably my 3rd favorite. Legen of Dragoon on the PS1 was good too.

Star Ocean was always my guilty pleasure after FF, even with all the anime tropes and terrible voice acting. Kinda stoked they are doing a 5th one too now.

The Steam port of FFVII seems better than I expected so far. The prerendered backdrops ar a little pixelated, but far from terrible for a port. 3D graphics are quite crisp, and the audio is great. So far this version has surpassed my expectations.

I replayed it several years ago, and the graphics in no way ruined the memory for me. Still the best game ever. I still have the original copy. :)

I will be coming out of console gaming retirement to play this. TAKE MY MONEY!

I didn't play that one. I miss the original Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, Lunar: The Silver Star Story, etc.
