Has anyone else seen the preview for this new reality show?  Will be a competition featuring master bladesmiths creating a variety of edged weapons.  I have to admit that I'm intrigued.  I'll definitely watch.

I'm gonna watch it but I'm afraid it's going to be drama filled instead of quality craftsmanship. I don't see making a knife/sword as a half hour deal but I guess we will see.

Yeah......jury is definitely out for now.  If the show doesn't treat the art and craft of knifemaking respectfully, I'll lose interest pretty quickly.

Seem the previews looks interesting. But most of these reality shows end up with too much drama and not enough show. I'll watch but will be surprised if it is different.

Agreed. There was a documentary on a guy making a replica of a rare Viking sword a few years back. It was very good. He even made the metal in a period correct way. The steel was rare because it was much better than known Viking steel. The debate was whether it was from Asian steel or not.
