Some will say no and some will say yes.

It will depend on a few diff things, hardness, size, powder, charge size and lube.

You will just have to try and find what works or does not.

Have read over and over, here and elsewhere,  that with a certain diameter bullet, the microgroove barrel does great. Can't tell you what that diameter is for .357 though, but Caster or Dolo or someone here will I'm sure.

Nope. Won't shoot for crap. You better sell it to me.

Just kidding. I used to shoot gas-checked cast bullets in my Marlin .30-30. They did fine. Can't give many details, it was a long time ago.

Got a chance to trade for one, but don't want it if it won't shoot lead bullets. My Rossi's and Uberti love them.

A 44 mag will. I expect you'll get the same results with the 357. My 44 is a tack driver with 200 grain round nose lead bullets.

Get a copy of the lyman cast bullet manual. I believe they state that best results are under 1600fps with that rifling. I've also read that .002 over bore is the minimum with the micro groove.
