Oh yea, I saw that the other day after reading the thread about air guns. It was a very dangerous thing to start looking at. They make one with a suppressor too!

Agreed. I want a decent air rifle for yard varmints around here, without breaking the bank. Probably going to get another Gammo. Maybe try the Whisper this time.

I'm just getting into PCP air rifles myself. They are quiet, cheap to shoot and can be tack driver accurate. I still prefer .22 and centerfire, But considering the availability and cost of ammo, air guns can't be beat. Esp considering there's no TICS and they are likely to survive just about any gun control laws.

Just last week I took my son to a junior air rifle camp at the CMP in Alabama. The kids there were very impressive. Sure some had $3k+ rifles but some were shooting Daisy and Crosman guns just as accurately. I thought I had most of the CZ's I could want til I saw a couple of their PCP rifles there. :drool:   My only problem was the frustration of watching and not getting to shoot with them.

I have a Benjamin Marauder http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Benjamin_Marauder_Air_Rifle/1774 , it is a tack driver. I got the hand pump as well but after it you are in deep for $710.00.

Isn't that a 3k psi gun? How does the hand pump work for you?

I get about 40 shots and it's down to about 1,000 then about 40 pumps get her back to 3,000.

I have looked at air soft but I could never get a handle on what you needed to buy to get started.

Marauders are good guns. I have the 25 Cal. It's seriously accurate. Green Mountain makes the 25 barrel. The 22 is a real crap shoot on accuracy. Lots of bad 22 barrels. Crosman makes those. 3k psi down to 2100 I get about 24 shots. There is a marauder forum with a ton of information.

I have the .22 , guess I got lucky. Yes , I am a member of the forum.
