Springfield RO 9mm feeding issues

I've recently purchased a Springfield 1911 RO in 9mm and have tried 3 different brands of magazines and have issues with feeding on all three.  Any suggestions on what to look at for a fix?

Send it in to SA, they will have it gone through completely and get it back out to you quick. Just give their CS a call. They will send a shipping tag out for it right away.

When I had my 9mm RO, I used the Wilson ETM 10rd mags. Put over 1000rds through it in less than 2 months and never had a bobble out of it.

I would try different ammo.

Talk to Springfield bout your problem and see what they say. They may have an answer besides sending it back.

I've tried 4 types of ammo, hollow points are the ones with the most trouble.  when slide cycles next round, jams on feed ramp and slide. I will try calling Springfield.

 I know you told me you had polished the ramp but did you just use the polish and a dremel wheel? If you want that mirror finish get some automotive sandpaper in the higher grits and work your way up. I just used a pencil eraser to move it up and down in the direction the bullet would normally feed. I've had some that even though I got them nice and shiny it still needed the actual sandpaper treatment to really slick it up.

 

I think I have some left if you want to try it one day.

What 3 brands did you try?  See if someone will let you run some rounds out of a Dawson magazine. They are the go to mag for good function in the comp shooting circles.

If your gun will not run with ANY quality magazine (Wilson, Tripp, CM) then it's a gun problem. PERIOD.
