Since no one posted it I will.

Was watching the news tonight and saw that a Gallatin gun store was broken into. They took 14 guns and two guys were arrested but only one of the stolen guns were retrieved. So there are still 13 guns on the streets. Edited by Joe357

I was shocked at the 17 and 18 year old suspects. I mean at 17 and 18, never in my life would committing ANY crime have popped into my head. Let alone breaking into a gun shop! It blows my mind.

I'm always amazed at the lack of security at many gun shops.

News reported, it took them 10 seconds to get away with 14 guns.

Shoot, nowadays it seems every other 18/25 yr old is addicted to pills and willing to lie, cheat, and steal from anyone to get the next fix. I have never been a big supporter of Government regs on anything but somehow we have to get a hold on all the prescription drugs floating around ruining so many lives. I'm not sure these boys were dope heads but I would say there's a better than good chance.

I'm sorry to hear about this as the owners of that store are a great bunch of folks. I don't believe they will recover any more of the guns till they are found at crime scenes. Hope that is not the case but that is normally when stolen guns are found. These guys may be the same guys that hit In Range gun shop about a year ago just up the road about 10 miles form Sumner Gun and supply. They were also in and out in a matter of minutes in that case also.....................

More government regulation of pills isn't the answer, changing the mentality of "prescription nation" is.  Big pharma has gotten rich by pushing a pill for every little thing that ails us physically and mentally, so the inevitability of the product seeping into the underground has us where we are now.

I'll also give my standard push for legalizing marijuana.  You don't really see stoners out there doing things like this, they're usually too content to just sit around and waste the night away.  Let people smoke weed without becoming a criminal and you'll see the other drug abuses and the crime therein drop off as it isn't the gateway to the culture of other illegal drugs
