 This is the best thread in a while. Resurrected after four years, name dropping (positively and negatively) and then a celebrity apperance all wrapped up in one. You just don't get that all in one package very often.

As for sponsor driven.....well someone has to pay the bills. I've discovered some very worthwhile products in his sponsors.

I get that the gun market and advertising in it is a niche market, just wish that it wasn't Sig, Crimson Trace, Ruger, repeat. It'd be nice for there to be more critique vs. promotion, to hear pros AND cons about the products, but I recognize you have to pay the bills.

I'd love to see more of this type programming on TV and radio! It does nothing but good for the whole gun rights movement. Sure beats watching the moron from LA (Sons of Guns) that reinforces all the media pushed fears and perceptions of gun owners.

Me too. I don't hunt so I DVR this and used to watch GunTalkTV when it was on since they're all I've found to feed my illness. I'm a fan, it just gets repetitive.

I wonder if user name "Red Jacket" will pop up now that you've called him a moron ...?

I agree Blue, would be nice to see less predictable advertising. The radio show has a bit more variety in ads than the tv shows. Still like'em all though!

The whole Sons of Guns thing is so scripted and full of fake drama it's pitiful. Same with the Repo shows and other "reality" programs. Like WWF but about guns! LOL!

Would be a hoot for "Red Jacket" to make a cameo! LOL!

Where did Tom go? He owes me a t-shirt! LOL!

We just gave away a bunch of hats and shirts we got from gun makers.

Actually, we decided today to have some hats made with the logo for Guns & Gear. It's subtle. Non-gun folks will never know what it is. Shooters may take a minute or two to figure it out, but when they do, it's one of those "AHA!" moments.

It's at the top left of this page. Home - Guns and Gear

Anyone know a good place to order quality ball caps?

We've been really satisfied with several Port Authority models here in the past when I was cranking out TGO hats. I used the #C830 quite a bit.

Ohh that guy. I watched that show for the first time this month while being laid up after surgery. That guy is a tool. He was firing a granade launcher and when he hit the target said " hell yeah that's why they pay me to shoot". I mean it's a freaking grenade, not a sniper rifle. Any idiot with enough practice rounds can shoot lob a granade into a 25' group of cardboard.

He was such a jackass I had to turn it off, and I was interested in the guns they were promoting too.

You are thinking of Tactical Arms with Larry Vickers.

I listen to the Guntalk podcasts when I'm in the car. My wife even enjoys it even though she would never admit it.

I really, really hope that someone here didn't call Larry Vickers a jackass. Former Delta member, Larry Vickers?!

Tom, are y'all going to continue the GunTalkTV show? Really enjoyed that format and the training aspects of it, but haven't had any episodes show ip on the DVR lately.

I believe you are correct

If the shoe fits...

I didn't say he wasn't a great patriot to whom I am greatful for his service. Nor did I say he didn't know what he was talking about. I said he was a jackass. Go to sportsmans channel/Tac Tv and watch the m203 episode and tell me your opinions

Right now, the Guns & Gear show is running on Versus. We ran Gun Talk TV in the first and second quarters. Then, GGTV runs in that time slot for the third and fourth quarters. Next year we will probably have both shows on during the third and fourth quarters. Also, we will be expanding to run GGTV on two networks -- NBC Sports (the new name for Versus) and the Pursuit Channel. Working on ideas for at least two new shows, too. Yeah, like I need another "hobby."

We have the Gun Talk shows up on the Youtube channel as well as at www.guntalktv.com.

I guess I have been living under a rock.  Just recently discovered this show, and listening now of past pod casts.  So far, quite interesting.  Just good listening while trolling gun message boards.  Multitasking, listing to his show, reading TGO on my left screen and reading Armslist/gunbroker on the my right 2nd screen.

Tom's show is on XM Radio on Sundays. I forget what channel. If I have my XM tuner connected to something at the moment, I will try to listen to him if I remember that it's time for his show.

As for the Personal Defense TV show, I record that on my DVR and usually end up watching a couple of episodes at once. Both are pretty good stuff.

Tom is on NRA radio on XMSiruis every night, I listen every night. Channel 125, but late. Great thing other than the gun talk, he will broadcast from major gun events (SHOT Show), political events, and has a lot of shooting events.

I have learned more in the last year or so about women shooters to pass on to the wife than (ever) from him and his female guests

Just noticed Tom is a member. So wonder if you will answer a question. Channel lineup says Gresham is on 165, 166 and 168. But I am hearing you on 125 ( Patriot's NRA radio), is NRA radio fed in or something from somewhere else?

Either way, love Tom Greshams show.
