Mandatory gun insurance

As usual police are exempt... If they want to do it, they need to do it across the board.

Then we also need to have liability insurance on stairs with a $10,000 fine per staircase if you don't have it... because they injure many more people than guns

You'll soon have to show proof of liability insurance if you buy bananas, they have slippery peels!

If we don't stop them, they will never stop!
This lady is a freakshow!

I saw a "who's John Gault" billboard today on 95 nb in Georgia! Edited by Still Ugly

Didn't this happen in 2013? Did it happen again or is someone just trying to hype people up again.

EDIT: I did some searching and it was proposed in 2013 by the same person and went nowhere. I'm sure it's the same bill. For Sam1 the exemption was for firearms purchased for use by LE departments not just joe blow who has a badge doesn't get taxed. But the last bill wanted to require you to prove insurance before a purchase. What a crock of shat. Odds it won't make it anywhere again and even if it did I'm sure it would be ruled unconstitutional.

This crops up periodically. It's not going anywhere legislatively.

Whisper is right... It is an "infringement" on your Second Amendment right... It's a non-starter.... More red meat for the "...children of lower estate..." to chew on by another demorat demigogue...

The last 6 years has shown me that it's best to not vote for a democrat for anything at all. Everything g they have touched has turned to poop.

They have also showed me that the ones in office are absolutely bat Guano crazy! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind they have severe mental issues and shouldn't be trusted to regulate a gimbal machine!

Another wacko is entering the race. Malloy, he was ousted
From office after he brought some great American regulations like the rain tax and strict gun laws.

I don't think there is enough fluoride or vaccine available to make a logical person believe a word that comes out of a dem mouth.

To be clear O'Malloy wasn't ousted he was term limited.  The wack jobs of this state might have re-elected him if he could have ran again.

Thanks

Beat me too it.

Barring another Hillary campaign collapse or an exit stage right should a body be discovered, O'Malley isn't in the race to win, he just wants to ensure his next job is a prestigious appointment or lucrative big business/speaking gig.

Being a white very very Liberal Dem from a solidly blue state should mean he doesn't have a change in hell but then again look at who our current POTUS is and 8 years ago I would have said he had no change in hell.

Thanks

Robert

How do you purchase insurance on a firearm you have not even purchased yet? One of the posts stated you have to ahve insurance on a gun before you even buy it so just wondering how to do it?...........................

I didn't know he was term limited, so much for that inkling of hope I had for Maryland.

I did read that they repealed the rain tax after they got a less liberal repub there.

I'm wondering if Beretta is dragging their feet to see if they right his wrong gun laws.

I do stand by my belief that libs are incapable of running ANYTHING!

I will add that I feel bad for real democrats. To a point at least. Their party has been hijacked by radical socialists. Can't say the repubs don't have some too.

Sorry bout the rant on the libs, I stopped at a bojangles this am as they had omalley spewing his rhetoric on cnn. IT made me sick. Edited by Still Ugly

When your at the dealer and see the gun you like, you call the insurance company and give them all the info.  They will fax your updated policy to the dealer so they can sell you the gun.  What would really suck is if your purchase is denied then you have to call the insurance co. and cancel your policy.   See how easy that is? :puke:

And BTW, no more gun shows on the weekend... what agent is gonna sit in the office all weekend and write policies for guns?

It seems to me you would be a complete moron to not have liability insurance but not just for guns.  I have an umbrella policy that would already cover this so it's a non issue for me.  The problem I have with this type of mandated insurance is that it creates a list of gun owners (and possibly guns) that is held by a private party.   The problem is that one day some of these companies will want to be good little corporate citizens and hand over these lists in turn for special favors and or treatment.

One that wants to make money on said policies...  If I were an insurance agent I would absolutely open up shop to sell these policies if no one else was doing it.
