I used to go to those gun auctions at Powell. Most guns were bringing more than you could buy one on Gunbroker.com for. This is before the buyers premium and sales tax. Made no sense whatever so I quit going as there were no deals to be had.

Anyone get any good deals from this auction?

I would be willing to bet the answer will be no. I've never, ever seen a 'good deal' on a firearm at a gun auction. Usually everything goes for retail or more. There might be one or two guns that slip through the cracks and sell for something resembling a reasonable price, but it doesn't happen often.

Similar experience. Went to one and usually stopped bidding after it hit 80 to 90% of full value, especially for a used gun (read police trade in). Saw some good deals on classic guns but they already started higher than my Wife would allow (yes my balls are kept in her safe [emoji2]). Private party is about the best way to go.
