Can you imagine the video footage? Scummy pulls on Jerry. Jerry reaches in his pocket, shoots scummy 5-6 times, puts the gun back in his pocket holster and catches the guy before he hits the ground...

My EDC also has an external safety... And I like it. I keep it off when holstered.

S&W & other's have capitalized on the external safety aspect in marketing as making the pistol safer for the end user. Part of it's and instructional mindset, some carries over from military and law enforcement contracts. I see it as a non issue for a competently trained and self aware shooter who practices with his/her carry guns.

FWIW JM presented a well thought out video on OC vs. CC that might influence some fence sitters or poorly reasoned HCP holders. It won't do much for the folks in the OC but unloaded cities/states who seem more interested in confrontational negative attention and fishing for law suits.

In a showdown or duel like they do in the westerns, my money would be on Mr. Munden. Also, I've never seen Mr. Miculek shoot an aspirin out of mid-air.

 

On a plate rack or any kind of real-world moving and shooting scenario, my bet's on Mr. Miculek though.

 

Nonetheless, I would absolutely LOVE to have seen them side-by-side in any kind of match.
