OK, I got a question. How did you get that aluminum hot enough to melt?

 

Heat, maybe fire?

Aluminum has a rather low melting point...About 1250 F. A propane torch or hot open fire will do it.

shoot him and eat him seriously good bbq meat kinda greasy so great for grilling.

 

Think you have Mr. WhistlePig mixed up with Mr. Possum (who has fat marbled with meat).

 

I've eaten a number of groundhogs, and they are quite lean indeed. All the fat is in a hard spongy layer attached to the hide which comes off with it in skinning.

 

Best way I found was to cook them like a pot roast, grilling or broiling made em too dry and hard.
