Fastest shooter EVER, Jerry Miculek

Recommended Posts

I don't know how many in here knows of Jerry Miculek but I have been folling him forverer.  This clip is one of his best. If you never seen it you wont beleive your eyes.  I have never in my 80 years seen a man do things with a gun like him. Dont blink after his first shots and see how fast he reloads..... they say he is firing that revolver as fast as a full auto.....unreal.  I've watch it a hundred times and still cant beleive it.

I'll have to dig out my copy of Fast and Fancy Revolver shooting for the particulars, but it strikes me a bit odd that they'd compare the first exhibition with anything Ed did considering he was shooting smoothed out model 10's against Jerrys tricked out custom shop signature 8 shooters. Doesn't exactly seem like a fair challenge.....

Not to take away from Jerry in the slightest, he is an amazing shooter, from all accounts swell guy and definitely an inspiration. I guess I'd just like to see him try and match McGivern with similar equipment.

S&W at one time released a JM edition 625, I have been fortunate enough to get to shoot one, shoot it a whole lot actually and it is by far my favorite revolver that I have ever shot. You just thick about where you want the bullet to go and its there!

I've heard Jerry talk about McGivern.  He idolizes the man and has studied, thoroughly, everything the man ever wrote/recorded.

To me, it's trivial to try to decide who is/was better.  It's apparent that I will never be able to be in the same galaxy as either.....I will say this though, I don't think Ed devoted equal time to shotguns, autos, rifles, three gun competition, as well as the commercial & celebrity aspect.  If Jerry never truly matches McGivern with a revolver, it might be that he has too much on his plate.
