Has anyone else signed up for a class here? I'll be taking Pistol I on June 6-7. From everything I've seen of Reid on YouTube, he seems to be a good guy. I've always wanted to take a class from him. I know I'm looking forward to the class.

I would be interested to read your AAR of the course. If his school wasn't so far to make a weekend trip for me feasible, I would sign up for a class myself....

Have you taken any Tactical Response classes?  I would like to know how Reid's classes compare.

Chris Bondy has taken Tactical Response fighting rifle and is going to attend the rifle course at Valor Ridge. I'll post his AAR as well.

Reid is a great guy and the training should be top notch. BTW, he worked for Tactical Response but to create his own training company. I would not try to compare VR to TR because they are different companies run by different people.

 

Valor Ridge is located less than an hour away from Knoxville making it a lot easier for people in the eastern part of the state to get the training they want or need.

It's like the SAME distance for me. Haha, I'm apparently at least an hour away from ANYTHING, both a blessing and a curse, LAWLZ.

I will say that I was in contact with Reid today and he is very excited about this. And honestly I think I would prefer Reid over the place he left.

Good points and I didn't realize that VR is about 2h 15m closer to me. I'm taking Fighting Shotgun at TR first but I'm going to swap my Fighting Pistol class for the Pistol class at VR. Would be nice to not have to drive so far since I'm still drawn to TN.

So it's late I'm tired and got a lot on my mind. Anyone want to type out my thoughts or just put up pictures of my writing? I roughly know how to do an AAR but I'm kind of lazy after the week I've had. I have pictures and videos and will post in new thread when I get to it. Should be up by the middle of next week.

First time post! Looking forward to reviews of VR. I am thinking seriously of making the trek (10 hours by pick up truck)  to train with Reid this summer. His style, termperment and facilities are more in line for my situation than the other place.
