That's a pretty one. :up: I have a big old piece of Damascus I've been saving for something special cause it's so much more expensive that other stuff.

Great looking!  My first really expensive, for me anyway, knife was a Damascus blade. They have such character to them.

Same here. My first expensive kitchen knife was a Shun 8" Chef's knife. It's Damsacus steel, looks great, and functions even better. I'll never go back to cheap knives in the kitchen again.

That is very a very nice piece. I'd be quite interested in a lighter weight version of that.

More like a Tanto or Kwaiken. Not all Tantos have chisel points. We just got used to that style in the US. Nice wood as well as the random pattern steel.
