Where to Shoot Shotguns Outdoors (Nashville Area)

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a good outdoor Shotgun range in the Mt. Juliet/Nashville area? I have a Mossy 500 Persuader that has been collecting dust and never been fired. Kind of want put it through the paces.

I know there are a few indoor ranges that allow shotguns (nRange), but I'd prefer to be outdoors. Also, I'm not looking for any place fancy where I'll get looks for showing up with a pump action.

Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Why can't you just walk out on the back deck? Fire a couple blasts in the air to test function. As a bonus, any bad guys hiding in the weeds will flee.

Just kidding, don't do that. If you were in ETN, I could make a couple recommendations.

That Sporting Clay range off Briley Parkway is a pretty cool place. went there twice a couple years back with a friend and its a nice place. Friend was shooting. My shoulders won't let me shoot anymore..............

+1 to the Nashville Gun Club (aka the sporting clay range off of Briley Pky near Bordeaux) for clay pigeons. They don't have a target stand range, so if you want to shoot at paper, you'll have to look elsewhere. They're strictly trap, skeet, and sporting clays.

Haha. ..if I wasn't in city limits I would. It's illegal to even shoot a pellet gun here.

Since you're in MJ, the closest is going to be the Gallatin Gun Club, but it's private, so members and their guests only. They have a waiting list. If you're going to be in M.J. for a while, I suggest you look into it. They have a 300 yard range plus 2 trap stands. Send an email to ronjackson@comcast.net to get on the waiting list.
