Credit for the Garland Kills Questioned

Before we knight the officer who ventilated the two Muslim terrorists at the Muhammed drawing contest, the Garland police would like everyone to know that he wasn't the only one who contributed to their demise. The SWAT team deserves some kudos, too. And, the Garland authorities knew nothing--NOTHING--about the report that the Islamic rage boys were on their way from Arizona to stir up more hate and discontent. Evidently it takes two weeks to get the stories straight. These rock solid facts are the honest truth, at least until the chief's phone rings again.

SWAT was late to the party....give credit to the traffic cop for doing what needed to be done when it needed to be done. Sounds like the SWAT team is trying to justify their funding.

My guess is that they are just trying to get the heat off the cop that did it because he doesn't want the attention, and doesn't want anyone messing with his family.

For that, I commend him.  Although if it was me... This would be on the front page of every news paper and website:

Doesn't really matter who did the deed as long as the threat was neutralized.

True. The fact that he was able to wound both while faced with long guns is impressive.

This.

Something as straightforward as who actually fired shots to neutralize active shooters isn't the type of info that gets corrected in follow-up reports.

I think they were expecting trouble because of the type of program that it was and that is why the swat team was that close and could react so quickly but credit the officer for buying the swat team time to respond. He prevented what could have been a blood bath like the one in Europe that was not prevented for almost the same program that was going on in Texas..............jmho

Now now we can't lone individuals thinking they can take out a terrorist team single handedly. Besides SWAT was there too you know!

Individual heroism is American. I understand that Sheriff may have wanted to protect the individual cop from Islamic repercussions but by back tracking on who did what and when set the example for others to wait until SWAT gets there. When seconds count  SWAT is just minutes away.  Individual initiative needs to be rewarded, not divided up between departments. I understand teamwork but this cop did an excellent job.

By weeding through some links the statement seems to say it was four swat team members not the actual swat team. This wouldn't be unheard of as most departments don't have and can't justify a full time swat team. They were probably patrol officers that are also on the swat team. They arrive and finish it up maybe?
