Any of you in the Chattanooga area shoot on your own land

Just curious about those of you that shoot on your own land how far outside of the city you're in and what setup you have. Going to be buying some land to build a house soon and I would like to be able to shoot some on my own land. From what I've been told I could be in the county but outside of Chattanooga city limits.

Chattanooga is a little odd -- several of the "outside city limits"  areas are incorporated into their own small "cities".  Its effectively one city (its hard to tell, without a map, where one ends and another begins at times) but what that means is that you are still inside city limits in east ridge, red bank and similar suburbs.   IMHO you should study any plot of land you want to buy to see if it is inside any of the small cities / burbs around chatt & you should also check the area to see if it has considered incorporating / becoming a city.   For example, it would not surprise me if Ooltewah eventually became its own city to avoid being sucked into chatt (mostly this is a tax issue).
