Gallatin Gun IDPA match with shotgun side match. 05/09/15

This comming Saturday will be our monthly IDPA match. 71 rounds in 4 stages. A 20 round shotgun side match, all steel will be in bay one after the IDPA match. You may shoot it with shotgun only or pistol only. Or do like me and shoot it twice with both. Birdshot or skeet loads ok for the steel. I will also have paper targets set up in bay two for slugs. six slugs required. 12 rounds if you want to shoot it with pistol. Set up starts at 7:00, match start around 9:00ish. Normal match fees of $10 for club members or $15 for non-members.  $5 match fee for side match.

John, an ace mechanic like you should be able to come out and shoot and still get over to the shop to pull out that tranny in like 30 minutes?  :shrug:

 

Oh wait, that was in the old days, now everything is hooked to a computer. Dang, I miss the simplicity of those 60s made cars!

It was a fun time for sure

Had some really good first time shooters in my squad.

 

One was a 15 year old young lady who's FIRST EVER IDPA Stage was the shoot-house followed by the shoot out of the CAR stage! 

 

I asked her if she even had a learner's driver's permit and when she replied that she didn't I told her....., "Well, your first driving lesson is to remember to sweep the firearm over the top of the steering wheel as you transition to the other window."

 

AND BEST OF ALL - - - She was using a IWB holster!  Outstanding.  Well Done!  :up:
