I've not seen one for sale yet. Only heard about them.

With as short a pull as the AKT is, I'm not sure they can go much farther.

I'll try to get a quick video of mine to how short it is after I grab a bite to eat.

I already have an AKT and I got to finger an enhanced one at the NRA Show. I just don't see paying $75 for the enhanced version for how good the AKT is.

The pull feels different between my Saiga and the M92 PAP, but that might be because I use the ALG spring in the PAP.

The ALG Spring wouldn't work in the Saiga because it wedged too tight between the bolt-catch lever causing the hammer not to fall.

I had to grind off part of the hammer at the pin shaft to clear that bolt catch as well.

Got the RFT sling adapter, Magpul MS2 sling and Hogue grip on.

Much improved over the CAA grip. The CAA grip felt too small for this pistol, but feels fine on the Saiga.

How did I miss this thread this whole time?! I was a die hard AR guy who's now a die hard AK guy. Just getting my first 5.45 too. Put an SLR-104FR on layaway last week.

Have you pulled your SLR-104FR out of layaway yet?

No. Not exactly. Went to make my final payment and the sales guy was telling me they just got some new and improved Molot VEPRs with square backs and improved riveted bullet guides (All mainly RPK components) in 5.45. He really sold me on it so I kinda changed layaway to the Molot VEPR 5.45. It should be here Friday. I've also picked up a PSA AK-47 Gen 2 (all American made AK. See AK Operator's Union on YouTube to see it go through a 5k round torture test) that's I've striped of it's plastic furniture and am currently working on the wood furniture for it. Next on my list is the C39 Micro pistol and the PBS-1 Wolverine can.

Are you referring to the Molot FM-AK74-11? If so, I placed the 7.62x39 variant of that particular rifle on layaway a few weeks ago through K-VAR. I am awfully excited by the release of this offering. I was officially sold when they confirmed that it had a square back receiver. When do you anticipate that you will have it in your possession?

Congratulations on your recent acquisition, my friend! Would you be so kind in sharing photographs of your newly acquired rife? What are your initial thoughts on the rifle as far as the weight and finish is concerned?

Last year, I foolishly let a Chinese MAK-90 in Sporter configuration pass me by at the gun show. I patiently waited well over a year for an opportunity to present itself and I found that opporunity last night on this very forum. A special thank you to johnnychimpo for answering my questions in a timely manner and for meeting me on such a short notice. I am overjoyed with the purchase of my rifle, but I am even happier to have met a local enthusiast.

Of all of your rifles this by far is my favorite one yet. Any plans for it or just leaving stock?

I wholeheartedly agree, my friend! It has easily become one of my favorite rifles in my collection. They did an excellent job bluing rifles. The trigger is equally spectacular. As far as modifications are concerned, the previous owner saved me the heartache of partially de-banning the rifle by ditching the thumbhole stock and adding a pistol grip. I strongly considered re--fanging the rifle and converting to a Spiker. For the money that I would spend doing so, I would rather tuck it away and purchase an actual Spiker. Aside from adding a cleaning rod, I need to put her through her paces at the range. i had my LASIK procedure on Thursday and my vision is currently spotty at best. My fingers are crossed that I can get to the range by the end of the following week!

Within days of acquiring my first Chinese MAK-90, I have officially acquired my second. I met with a local collector this afternoon and we did a bit of horse trading. The rest, as they say, is history!
