M&P 9 pro question

I wanted to try a striker fire pistol for competition. So I did a little bit of homework and found a used MNP with an apex trigger set up and it full frame it a fair price. Took it out to the range yesterday ran about 300 rounds through it, thing is all over the place at 15 yards and 25 yards. The gun was clean lubricated had zero signs of wear and I believe was pretty much a safe queen for most of its life.
I may be brutal by comparing this to a Glock 34 or a sig 226 I own in the same caliber, but it feels like this pistol is just not capable of maintaining tight groups.
is there something that I don't know about this gun before I either get rid of it or go buy an upgraded barrel for it???
Thanks

PS I was running Tula 115 grain ammo through this, then switched over to some 115 grain win and then used two boxes of federal 115 grain, same results Edited by Dustbuster

Something isn't right.

My M&P 9Pro is accurate to the extreme!

When they first came out, there were some reports that the 9Pro preferred heavier bullets (124 -147g) but my 2010 production model groups 115g just fine.

Thanks mark, rwf suggested heavier bullets as well, this gun has the 2 dot barrel, and spring still has blue paint on it.
am going to try a diff stock barrel, and spring., ran a couple hundred more today, same thing.....the apex fss really makes this gun sweet, hence not giving up on it... Thanks Edited by Dustbuster

Strange.  :squint:

2 dot would be the newest version.  Its 1:10 twist is suppose to take care of the earlier generation's bullet weight sensitive issue.

Mine is the 1st Gen with the 1:18.75 twist barrel.  It Loves 124g..., Likes 115g..., Hates 147g.

I picked up a 9mm Pro from another member with an apex trigger kit. I have not had any issues. I don't know if it will do you any good, but you are welcome to look at mine and see if there are any differences. I live in Franklin. I used to shoot a 34, but I got rid of it after I bought the m&p. Edited by Odessa7979

Have 5 M&P pistols with no issues. Both very accurate guns. Try the 124gr bullets, but honestly never had issue with any wt bullet. Might let one of your "dead-eye" buddies take it for a spin.
