Compact 1911 10mm ?

I'm thinking now that I may just stay with .45 , I gave my son my Colt Defender and want another 3" ultra compact carry for Summer.

I am fairly certain that if you want to pay the price for one (they are absolutely worth it) that you can get a Guncrafter 1911 commander in 10mm, I know it is not listed on their site, but my No Name 10mm was not listed when I ordered it either,  George Talia ordered it for me, I have bought several guns from him, email him about your 10mm options he will take excellent care of you

You may also want to try a cheeper gun just to see if you like it. I haven't ever had a caliber I just didn't like but you never know. I haven't tried my 29 yet but I doubt caliber will make a difference. I would say try a 29 but if you don't lke a glock fit then maybe the RIA just to try it. I know it sucks to not like the fit of a popular gun, I just can't make myself like any revolver. I've had a few and love everything about them but how they fit in my hand. And if you stick with a .45 1911, witch is also my favorite, go get that commando he's got in Mt Juliet. That thing is sexy.

I'm afraid that Commando is more of a collectors piece at $1300 ; new Defenders are around $950. With a stainless Defender in the family I hate to get another....not to mention being all stainless and 3.5" it's gonna be a bit heavy as opposed to a 3" alloy Defender. Edited by Fourtyfive
