I got my HCP in the mail on Wed. For the ones who always ask about waiting time for the prize here is my time line.

Aug 9 & 10 Class at safetysouth

Sep 12 DMV, Fingerprinted

Nov 5 recieved permit in the mail

54 days from the time I did my DMV paperwork untill I got the permit in the mail. I did not do the "mandatory" WalMart run yet:p

Plenty of potential 'targets' at Walmart. You have to eat nachos I think. And I'm pretty sure there was a law passed by the Keyboard Commandos that you had to buy a 100ct box of WWB while you're there.

I don't carry FMJ's, However, Wal-Mart has a good deal on 100 pack's of Remington JHP's. For target practice, Blazer FMJ 50 pack's are $8.97 around here. WWM 100 packs are $19.97.

I don't know about where you live, but here where I live if you call WalMart and tell them you are on your way to their store for your first walk-through while carrying, there will be a small delegation to meet you and escort you to sporting goods for a free box of ammo in your choice of caliber and a coupon for 5 bags of nachos with cheeze.
