Has the NRA Won?

I'd love to say "Yes" but would be very cautious in doing so. In actuality, it's probably a temporary draw at best.

Part of it is that the Obama administration has really given a great example of what left wing liberals real agenda, to take ALL our gun rights away. I think many people who only own 1 gun or none are scared by the notion that there is a real agenda, not just to impliment what liberals call, "common sense gun control" but an all out war against citizens owning any guns whatsoever. They have seen through the BS for the first time.

I find the mindset that it's the NRA's fault totally assanine when in fact, it's obvious that many people are suddenly seeing the need to own a gun for protection by simply looking at the news and seeing the violence brazenly occurring everywhere at all times of the day and night. Home invasion, car jacking, Individuals and flash mobs destroying stores and beating innocent people senseless, or even to death, the "knockout game" etc.....and participants looking into the camera laughing and telling the news they are doing it because it's "fun". It's not the NRA's fault that in millions of peoples minds the fog is clearing and the light is coming on. Edited by Randall53

I don't count anything as a "win" really on the 2A issue. :meh:

We just fought them off for now. They'll be back with new strategies, lies, excuses, propaganda and other tragedies to exploit to attempt to pass restrictions and bans on 2A rights.

Just as much progress toward a restoration of 2A rights as we've made now, can just as easily be revoked by the next left-wing majority in congress or even here at the state level.

The fight for 2A rights will be a constant one.

It's not just about our gun rights.
It's about preserving our liberty .
The 2nd Amendment protects the rest.
Freedom is not free, we must remain forever vigilant to restrain those who would enslave us.

I wouldn't land a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier and throw up the "Mission Accomplished" banner just yet. When in the same article a "journalist" can clearly show that the majority of Americans are against more gun control and then state, "polls showed about 90 percent public approval for expanded background checks," you know there is more work to do. It's mildly amusing watching them regurgitate the anti-gun talking points so thoughtlessly that make themselves look like asses, but since the New York Times is a "respectable" news organization, many people take them seriously. Why I will never know.
