I wasn't trying to go cheap, but at the price, I couldn't pass it up.

 

Finished the assembly tonight.

 

Anderson lower, $63 OTD from Buds.

 

PSA rifle build kit from Easter, PTAC upper, 16" midlength gas system, 1/9 twist. PSA Freedom lower build kit. $387 delivered.

 

 

I haven't decided what to do about sights/optics.

It truely is the "golden age" for AR's. It's amazing what you can get for under $1k now. People who don't have what they want when times get hard again (and they will) can't bitch.

It will make for a decent extra AR, my daughter has already asked if it was for her.

I put a $20 Amazon rear sight on it and a $10 aluminum magazine. Which means that as pictured, I am into the whole thing for $480.

Reminds me of my $420 build. But that was without including the sights. So more along the lines of $440.  A carry handle sight isnt all that bad.

Put an acog or night force piece o glass on it!

Went out this weekend to sight in a few new toys, and I will be darned if I didn't lose this rifle.

 

 

Her target, first time with anything bigger than her .22lr. 50yds. Center target.
