Just curious as to what folks have done to their ARs.

Here's my personal AR.

I started with a RRA CAR-A4

http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=223

What I've added...

-Wolff extra power extractor spring

-H2 recoil buffer

-Vickers sling w/ Midwest Industries mounts

-Troy back-up rear iron sight

-Aimpoint M3 w/ LaRue mount

-Insights vertical foregrip w/ Pentagon light

My work gun (16" BushMaster) is setup the same way except it has an EOTech instead of an Aimpoint.

Bushmaster A3 20" barrel.

carry handle removed

3-9x40 Leapers.

sling

Factory mossy oak

It's ho-hum, but it does everything I need it to do, perfectly.

Currently building mine on a Spike's Tactical Lower w/DPMS LPK, Magpul CTR stock and MIAD grip.

I think I'm going w/ a Sabre Defense 16" flat top chrome lined M4 upper (if the price still hasn't gone up tommorrow), RRA BCG, YHM quad-rail.

I haven't determined an optic yet. I'm going with a Trijicon ACOG, but I haven't decided exactly which one.

Feel free to give me input.

I have a Spike's stripped lower. In an effort to keep weight to a minimum, I haven't installed any parts in it. Unfortunately, the downside is that it only serves as a blunt impact device in the current configuration.

Hopefully Del-Ton will ship my kit in the near future.

Well I guess my hinting around worked. Look what my wife bought me. It was a surprise gift.

Now I have to figure out something else to buy me for Christmas.

I already had the M9 made by BUCK, I bought that about 15 years go.

Mine...

• Oly Lower (Don't laugh, it runs fine.)

• A1 Upper (yeah I know... old school)

• Heavy Barrel

• slip over flash suppressor, cheap o' forward grip and rail

• Collapsable stock

• Ergo grip (I love this grip!)

• Cheap Sling

Seeing what ever one else has really makes me want to update mine. maybe get a new Flat top upper and rails one day.

I bought the cheap for grip and rial to see if I liked it. Had never used one before. All it did was make me want a better one and more rails! LOL! :D

Plain Jane mine is!

DTI upper,and LPK

Spikes lower with color fill, and infidel

Ergo grip

and some kind of sharp flash hider...Phantom...maybe

\

That would be a YHM Phantom Brake/Comp. It won't do much for flash. I really like YHM stuff.

I started with a RRA Elite CAR A4 mid-length, which means I had a 2-stage match trigger, 6-position tactical stock, Hogue grip, and chrome-lined 1x9 barrel to start with. Here's what I've added:

-YHM Phantom flash hider

-YHM Spectre-length free-float aluminum quad-rail handguard

-V-TAC flashlight mount (for Surefire G2)

-Pro Mag vertical foregrip (finished in "Nasti-Grip" by Predator)

-Magpul ladder rail covers

-Magpul winter trigger guard

-Big Latch for charging handle

-CAA stock saddle

-VTAC tactical sling

-YHM flip-up front and rear sights

-EOTech 512

I also added the original Magpuls (rubber loops) and Magpul followers to all my steel magazines, and I've picked up a couple of PMags, as well.
