Stupid Turkeys

They mock me.  They strut around in the parking lot at work because they know I can't shoot them in the face.    :wall:

We saw a flock of at least 20 of them with 3 toms in full strut next to the road on the way to lunch the other day.  There was a pawn shop just down the street.  We wondered if it would be suspicious if we ran into the pawn shop and said, "I need a shotgun, quick!"

My brother called and said he saw a big tom walking by himself down the sidewalk, lol. I think they know where they're safe

Why not, I have thought this for years.

We know where the bad parts of town are.

I knew a guy that feed a large flock of turkeys in his yard. His son also turkey hunted on the same farm. You could walk right up to them in the yard but as soon as they crossed the fence they were wild as could be.

We raised some Bronzebacked turkeys this past year and still have one tom left. Yesterday could hear the tom gobble and then heard someone on the adjacent property calling him. We went out in the woodslot in my orange shirt and hollered"you realize that is a tame turkey". The calling stopped! Had a good laugh at that.
